Microplastic presents in all Indian brands of salt and sugar report says

Recently, a study has come out that reveals that Indian people who eat salt and sugar in their daily lives have microplastics present in them.
This study has been conducted by an environmental research organization. They have stated in their study that they have taken samples of 10 types of salt and sugar, which include rock salt, sea salt, local raw salt, or some 5 types of sugar that they have purchased from both online stores and local markets.

The microplastic found in salt and sugar ranges from 0.1 mm to 5 mm.

The Microplastic concentration found in salts samples was ranged from 6.70 pieces to 89.15 pieces/kilogram.
The highest microplastic concentration is in iodized salt, which is 89.15 pieces per kilogram, or the lowest Microplastic concentration is in organic raw salt, which is 6.70 pieces per kilogram.

The Microplastic concentration found in sugar samples was ranged from 11.85 pieces to 68.25 pieces per kilogram. The highest microplastic concentration is in nonorganic sugar.

Salts and sugar are rich in sodium and glucose, respectively, which boosts overall metabolism and health.
Here, in the name of taste, Indian brands are feeding plastic to the people of India, which is very harmful for the health of the people.

These Indian brands mix microplastic in the form of multicolored thin fiber and films with salts and sugar, the report says.

What are microplastics, and why are they harmful to humans?

Microplastic is any plastic that is less than 5 mm in length. And these are very harmful for human health.
If a human being eats microplastic in any form then his/her DNA will be affected and there will be changes in genes activities which will increase the chances of getting cancer.

W.H.O. said that humans eat more salts or sugar than the limit.

Sugar limit

Objective of this study?

Toxic Link director Mr. Ravi Aggarwal said that we conducted this study so that we can contribute to the scientific database so that the global plastic treaty issue can be addressed or action can be taken on it.

The objective of the mission

Providing critical data that will help in improving the earth system or support wide range applications that will be useful to us. Or it will be helpful in scientific research.

Payloads attached in sattelite (EOS-08)

1. Electro optical infrared payload (Eoir)

Eoir payload is designed to capture day and night images in mid-wave IR and long-wave IR bands which will help in monitoring volcanic activities fire disaster detection.

2. Global Navigation Satellite System-Reflectometry payload (GNSS-R)

It will be helpful in analyzing soil moisture and wind analysis of ocean surface through remote sensing.

3. SiC UV Dosimeter

It will play an important role in everything; it will monitor the UV irradiance, which is what the Gangayan mission is for.

1. The advanced antenna pointing mechanism.

2. Phased array antenna

3. Flexible solar panel system

4. Innovative thermal management solution

5. Solar cell fabrication process

6. Nanostar-sensor for Microsat Application

Conclusion

The goal of this mission is innovation. The life of this mission is one year.

ISRO has delayed the launch of the EOS-08 satellite by one day from 15 August to 16 August. Launch time will remain the same at 9:17 am. ISRO has not given any reason why they have delayed it by one day.

The mission of this satellite is to provide critical data that will be helpful in improving earth systems or in scientific research and many various applications.

The EOS-08 satellite is equipped with advanced payloads or advanced technologies through which we will be able to capture environmental data or monitor natural disasters and also helpful in missions like Gangayan with the help of a sci-uv dosimeter.
